Browsing and website operation

Browsing involves sending technical data to the server, such as the IP address, requested resource, date and time, outcome of the request and browser information. These data are used to deliver pages, manage errors and protect the service. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in providing a functioning, secure website under Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

The website's code does not use traffic analytics, advertising or profiling tools. Content searches are performed in the browser after the website index loads: the text entered is not sent to a search service. No maps, videos, fonts or other content loaded automatically from external services are embedded.

Messages and requests for information

Sending an email or making a telephone call entails processing the sender’s contact details and the information provided, to examine the request and reply. Providing data is optional; without the necessary information, the Firm may be unable to act on the request. For requests for professional assistance, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at the data subject’s request under Article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation. For other communications, the basis is the legitimate interest in managing correspondence relevant to the Firm’s activities.

For an initial enquiry, a brief description of the matter and contact details are sufficient. Confidential documents and other people's data should be sent only to the extent necessary, after agreeing appropriate arrangements with the Firm. Browsing the website and making contact do not entail decisions based solely on automated processing or subscription to advertising lists.

Recipients and services used

Data may be processed by the controller, authorised persons involved in handling the request and providers of the necessary technical services. The website is hosted by Netsons S.r.l.; the published email address uses Google's Gmail service. Data are disclosed to authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend a right.

Netsons states that customer data stored on its systems are kept in Italy. Google’s email service may also involve processing outside the European Economic Area: Google’s privacy notices describe the applicable transfers and safeguards, including adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where necessary, standard contractual clauses. References are provided at the foot of the page; further information on the services used may be requested from the controller.

Retention

For technical browsing data, retention depends on the hosting logs' management and rotation cycle and the needs of diagnostics, security or investigation of potential misuse. The website's code does not create a further visitor database or retain entered searches. The controller may be contacted for information on retention periods applied to the service logs.

Communications received are retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and any subsequent developments in the relationship. Further retention is limited to applicable obligations and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, taking account of the nature of the communication and the relevant time limits. Once an engagement is agreed, the specific retention criteria communicated for the matter also apply.

Cookies and external links

This website does not activate profiling cookies, advertising tools or traffic analytics services. The hosting infrastructure may use technical tools necessary to deliver and secure the service, depending on its configuration. Continuing to browse or scrolling a page does not constitute consent to profiling.

When you close the privacy notice by selecting “Understood” or the X, your browser stores the technical preference deamicis_privacy_notice locally for 180 days. This record contains only the notice version and the preference expiry date; it contains no visitor identifier and is not sent to the Firm. The notice appears again after expiry. You can reopen it using “Reopen privacy notice” in the footer, or delete the preference through your browser settings.

Closing the notice records an acknowledgement and does not authorise additional processing. The current configuration includes only technical features, for which consent is not required. Introducing non-essential tools will require an updated notice and, where required, prior consent that can be withdrawn.

Maps and external resources open only when the visitor selects the relevant link. Subsequent browsing is subject to the terms and privacy notices of the external service provider. Browser settings allow cookies and website data to be viewed, restricted and deleted; blocking technical tools may affect some services.

The language preference selected using IT, EN or BG is stored in the browser as deamicis_language for 180 days. It is used only to reopen the homepage in your chosen language. If no preference has been selected, a browser set to Bulgarian automatically opens the Bulgarian homepage. Your geographical location is not detected and no data is sent to geolocation services.

Rights and requests

In the cases and within the limits laid down in Articles 15–22 of the Regulation, the data subject may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. They may also object, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests may be sent to avv.deamicis@gmail.com.

You retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority and to seek judicial remedies. The institutional links below explain how and on what grounds these rights may be exercised.
