EUROSTAT Labour costs in Bulgaria — image from the original website

In Italy, one hour of work costs a business an average of €28.3, below the euro-area average (€29) but above the EU average (€24.6), which includes countries much cheaper for businesses and therefore common relocation destinations, such as Bulgaria (€3.8 per hour).

Bulgaria confirms its position as the country with the lowest labour costs in Europe and the best destination for outsourcing.

Non-wage costs account for 26.1% in the 19 euro-area countries and 24.4% in the 28 EU countries.
