Bulgaria Country Presentation meeting—image from the original website

On Friday, 12 December 2014, from 09:30, at Confindustria’s Rome headquarters, Viale dell’Astronomia 30, in cooperation with Confindustria Bulgaria, the Bulgarian investment agency InvestBulgaria and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Italy.

The meeting will present opportunities for investment, cooperation and development between Italian and Bulgarian businesses.

This is Confindustria's statement:

“The initiative is organised by Confindustria in cooperation with Confindustria Bulgaria, InvestBulgaria (the Bulgarian Investment Promotion Agency) and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Italy.

In recent years, Bulgaria has pursued a policy aimed at greater openness and attracting foreign investment, providing specific incentives for businesses through simplified administrative procedures, direct assistance to investors and financial support measures.

European Union membership and the resources available through European structural funds, an especially attractive favourable tax environment, competitive labour costs and logistical proximity to Italy make the country interesting for Italian companies.

The seminar aims to provide a comprehensive, in-depth overview of opportunities in sectors the Bulgarian government intends to develop: chemicals, engineering/electronics and

Agri-food.

A session will also be devoted to a closer examination of

opportunities

arising from European funds, particularly for infrastructure development.

At the end of the seminar, individual meetings will be held with experts from the Bulgarian Investment Promotion Agency, providing an opportunity to explore specific topics of interest and learn about guidance and support arrangements for implementing investments in Bulgaria.”
