Bulgaria is among the world's preferred outsourcing destinations and is the only European country in the top ten most attractive countries for these activities, according to the analysis firm A.T. Kearney.

Bulgaria ranks ninth among 51 countries worldwide, climbing eight places since the previous survey in 2011.

According to Stefan Bumov, President of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association, this was significant recognition of the efforts of Bulgaria's outsourcing industry and its contribution to the economy.

Turnover in Bulgaria’s outsourcing sector has increased by 60% over the past four years. The sector employs 20,000 people, and this number is expected to quadruple in the coming years. The index takes into account 39 criteria divided into three categories: financial attractiveness, business environment and human resources.
