Euro-Chinese Economic Zone in Bulgaria — image from the original website

The Euro-Chinese Economic Development Zone (ECEDZ) is a project under development in Plovdiv, presented at the Bulgarian-Chinese business forum “Bulgaria: expand your business”, organised in Beijing by InvestBulgaria Agency with EU support. The forum presented Bulgaria’s advantages as an investment destination, including political stability, its strategic geographical position, simplified administrative procedures and the most attractive tax rates in the EU. Representatives of the Export-Import Bank of China expressed strong interest in the zone and promised to visit the site in December. “ECEDZ provides a good basis for developing economic relations between China and Europe,” confirmed the spokesperson for Invest and Development Co., Ltd., the Chinese partner in the Euro-Chinese Economic Development Zone. Chinese investors were presented with the favourable conditions of the ECEDZ project, including Bulgaria’s location, tax rates, culture and friendly bilateral relations. The authorities present reiterated that the concept of a European-Chinese logistics and business centre is highly interesting for future business development and can be implemented effectively by entering the market with new technologies and a new logistics hub, using sales models such as O2O and B2C, well known in China through Taobao and Alibaba, for example. The next “Bulgaria: expand your business” forum will be held in Shanghai on 11 November.
