Like all European Union Member States, Bulgaria has an efficient system for managing its Commercial Register. Just as the Chamber of Commerce in Italy manages information about companies registered in Italy under national law, Bulgaria has a Commercial Register maintained by the Ministry of Justice which provides fully electronic information on all companies incorporated and registered under the law of the Republic of Bulgaria. The register contains all information on companies registered in Bulgaria, registered changes, financial statements, conversions, mergers and divisions, articles of association and all documents required for incorporation. Commercial Register offices are located throughout the country and also issue and accept paper documents. Computerisation of commercial registers already makes it possible to avoid physically filing documents and collecting certificates. For some Bulgarian companies, registry extracts translated into English are already available.
Our law firm in Bulgaria and Italy provides the assistance and advice needed to obtain information on Bulgarian companies entered in the Commercial Register, obtain company extracts, including certified and legalised copies, and retrieve financial statements and documentation of registered companies.
