Which register to consult

Legal information on Bulgarian companies is available from the Commercial Register and Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities, managed by the Registry Agency. The register serves a different purpose from an association or chamber of commerce. The official portal provides access to filed information and documents and identifies entries relating to a particular business. The company identification number is particularly useful for searches.

Documents that may be needed

The Firm assists in obtaining and examining information on incorporation, representation, corporate changes and published documents, including available financial statements. The documentation required depends on the purpose of the investigation: checking who can sign a contract, reconstructing a transfer of shares, reviewing a resolution or preparing court action require different checks. The company's identity must be distinguished from that of its shareholders, directors and businesses with similar names.

From a register extract to an assessment

Registration or a set of financial statements does not, on its own, establish the absence of risk or the counterparty's ability to perform. Data must be read in light of its update date, the period it covers and other available information. When assessing an investment or debt recovery, a registry search may be supplemented by asset and contractual checks permitted by law and relevant to the case.

Using documents in Italy

To submit a document abroad, it is necessary to determine whether a consultation is sufficient, whether an extract or certified copy is required, and which translation or authentication requirements the receiving authority imposes. The Firm coordinates these steps according to the document's intended use, without automatically applying unnecessary formalities. It is useful to specify the company name, registration code, document sought, country of use and any deadline from the outset.
